I'd really like to see some onboard footage of the Ferrari going through the last sector.... According to the official F1 website, only 2 turns are considered slow on the Barcelona Circuit (Turn 10 and Turn 15 presumably), at these sections - on a step harder tyres and undoubtedly carrying more fuel - Ferrari's car have supposedly been around 4 tenths quicker than Mercedes, in just those TWO bends, I emphasize... Saying that it's difficult to believe would be quiet the understatement... How is that not a sought-after footage already?
I think that data is just wrong. I saw another one on Reddit which shows very different slow corner times which I would expect are much more accurate looking at the S3 times.
Thank you, nice comparsion.

I'm on Twitter and reading analysis of testing

Gary Anderson again saying what a masterpiece the Red Bull is...just like previous years...yet Red Bull always ends up 3rd quickest!

Also reading here and there that Ferrari and Honda haven't turned the wick with their engines...but who said Mercedes has done so?? The only thing Mercedes did was run on the softest tire C5...a thing that i don't remember them doing in the past! But who knows what fuel they were on...

All in on all i don't expect anyone challenging Mercedes in the end...Red Bull might end up in front of Ferrari as things stand! I just feel that some individuals just try to hype people into thinking that "look Red Bull and Ferrari are not showing their hand...Mercedes is and we are going to have a wonderful championship"!! :?

I mean...Mercedes was in a much worse position last year and look where we ended up! This year Mercedes comes up with their most extreme design yet...and they are up to speed from day 1! Who knows maybe they won't get better...RB and Ferrari will and we'll have a great championship!

But i don't think so...

But Mercedes themself says that redbull will be their main rival in this season.
Someone shared here that Mercedes analysing method of performance of other teams. So each team does their own. Redbull too, and they are still confident.
Your assumotion seems like if redbull and ferrari sandbagging, mersedes also sandbagging so mersedes is 2 sec front now. when they all push Mercedes will be front with same margin because they are sandbagging themself in same ratio. But you cannot know what is going on in the inside. But teams have data (still just estimation)

Let's be honest the Red Bull has near enough always looked a masterpiece from onboard footage and from the track, it may have the best chassis on the grid but I guess Mercedes would like to argue about that.

The question is not whether Red Bull will be faster than Ferrari (they will). The question is whether or not Racing Point will be faster than Ferrari. They might, at least at some tracks.

Interesting

GPS data of a team: Mercedes at the top in slow corners then Renault, Red Bull and Ferrari. Red Bull close to Mercedes in medium speed corners. Ferrari penultimate. High speed: Racing Point behind Mercedes. Further back Red Bull and Ferrari. Red very down of PU #F1Testing

Things Will change this week for sure. I don´t deny that HP Will be very competitive but Ferrari(especially) and RB Will be more competitive in this second test.
