Well actually Taffin said they will have one upgrade mid season for reliability.
Sounds like Cyril is just talking down what they're doing instead of playing them up. Anyways in races, you're running so much slower than max out. I would NOT fall on my sword cause Merc have upped thier game by 2 tenths. When the bulk of what you're down is in the chassis.
Last year, everyone had Ferrari on top. Top turned out to be flop. Most had McLaren pretty far down the time sheet too.JRindt wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 09:03“Only McLaren and the Renault factory team are still difficult to classify. Does the McLaren insider think they are among the top 4 or is it speculation by the journo?
I personally think they are close to top 3 and tracing point is not a big issue. Or may be it’s just wishful thinking on my part.

You really don't know anything yet.
If it happens it could be the most successful plagiarism in recent history.

Mclaren are moving to Merc engines from 2021 for 3 year contract...
Let's hope they can get a works deal with someone after that...

I think 10/15 years from now the politicians will realize the sh*t electric cars is creating (toxic batteries & the disposal thereof) and they will move to something else... It's a large money making Scam like most other things...
The combustion engine with clean fuel still has a long lifespan...
Hydrogen as fuel source is the future. Better if this is discussed on another threadmclaren111 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 16:23Ground Effect wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 15:58Electric may kill F1 before they get the chancemclaren111 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 15:44

Yeah I agree with not being too worried about RP. That copy car was bound to hit the ground running. They dont need to worry about correlation issues and if concepts work as its all been proven last year!! Mclaren now have a base (not as proven as a car run all last year granted!) I'm hopeful that now most good teams will breeze past a car from last yearGround Effect wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 21:05So, some reports are even suggesting that Racing Point are currently ahead of Ferrari and just behind Red Bull, with Checo in the fight for pole and podiums early on in the season. I’m still not too worried, since the team were happy with the basic MCL35, hopefully the updates will be significant and a game changer....
