Considering the speed at the start of this crash , it has a very slow ending and seems to be a soft landing

13 seconds from first impact with the ground to the end more if you start counting when they go out of the road. Video looks like real speed in that part

I meant the difference in time, how fast they got to the trees and the time it took them to fall down through the trees till they hit the ground

Falling through the trees was likely a good thing for them. It was a long slow down rather than falling straight down a cliff. The safety cage did a great job, as is usual these days.
