Do we honestly think Ferrari won't be given special permissions to come and go?

For what it is worth, Ferrari have said that they will follow the government instructions, for the safety of their employees and their families, and that such concerns will drive their decision making throughout the whole saga.

Does that really mean they wouldn't take advantage of special governmental dispensations if offered? I don't know.

I can imagine that if you book some flights and hotels for this summer prices should be super cheap.

Things in Spain are also becoming more serious with some restrictions in the south of the Basque Country and Madrid. Maybe the Barcelona GP could be affected. Some people are demanding the cancellation of big shows and similar stuff.

I hope not, but one of the big problems I would assume in especially the northers parts of Italy, is that people who need help, are not getting any, because hospitals are presumably overloaded and can not deal with the scale.

Even here, the government have now switched their strategy of "come forward if you have symptoms" to "isolate yourself and only seek emergency help if you are showing severe symptoms" in attempt to not overload hospitals.

Currently, we are at ~500 cases (3 fatalities) in a country with a population of 8+ million spread across 15k km^2 (yes, the rest are mountains/lakes) and an immensely dense public transportation network.... I assume the number is only going to keep growing at a very steep rate given these circumstances.

Someone near us innocently went to a medical centre with feeling unwell - it was covid-19 so now the medical centre is closed while they try to sort it out, They're going to have to try and pre-screen the crowd. But let's face it some of us are fanatical enough to just go anyway, even if we know we've got it!

The reality is that lots of people will go to places without knowing they've got it because they don't have any symptoms yet. If the virus was symptomatic before it was contagious then it would be easy to control - which is, of course, why it's the other way round. The pre-symptom contagious virus is the successful virus.

yes true tho if you don't have any symptoms the probability you've got it is 1m to 1 or whatever, but if you've got the symptoms it's just 1. so for going into a crowd or somewhere with people it is a different level, and somehow the Aussies have to try and stop fans with symptoms thinking they'll wear a mask and chance it
