Germany is basically doing nothing serious to prevent the spreading of this disease.
basically no on wears a mask, people cough in your face on public transport.
There is no education on all media means how to conquer this... absoulutely shameful and pathetic for such a rich and prosperous country.
Doctors are left without masks and disinfectants, there is no plan, no procativeness, no reactiveness... just apathy.
Part of the reason why doctors are left without masks is perhaps because so many members of the general public, who don't really benefit from using a mask, now want one - decreasing the stock available for medical professionals.
With the infectivity, lack of clear, distinguishable symptoms, and relatively low mortality rate, it's not unlikely the virus is here to stay and that it will be part of next year's flu wave too - so yeah, it's well possible that a majority of the population gets infected in the coming years. But perhaps those that manage to avoid it this year have a vaccination available to protect them during the next flu wave, if they're in a risk group at least.
