Yes, the team shouldn’t participate in Bahrain... I really wanted to see the team on track, but the wellbeing of the people is more important than the show.

Yes, and I think the paddock will follow Mclaren's decision...

Vettel said on a press conference this morning in OZ, that if the teams are not willing to make the decision the drivers will as they have done when they have voiced their opinion in the past few years.

I can only imagine how hard a decision it is at the end of the day and there is several angles/points of view to consider... There are thousands of people that spend a lot of money to travel to Oz to watch the race, the teams have also made already a big effort sending crews, parts, etc to Oz for the race, so having the race at this stage could have been for some, the right thing to do... On the other hand, it’s not only about that group and they have to consider not only the people that can get infected at Oz, but how those people can impact their own families and others back at home.

A hard decision to make, but good on Mclaren for making it.

The race is moving on without Mclaren. Too bad for Mclaren they were hit could have been any other team.

It doesn't matter. I don't think they can go on even if they want to. They probably got half their team at quarantine at the moment. Also doesn't help that the other healthy part is now scared for their own health too.

Obviously McLaren wouldn't want to be in this situation but you can't help it. If the race goes on, it goes on, they can't do much about it. I understand it is probably a little upsetting for some people who couldn't wait to see their favorite team race, but the most disappointed here is McLaren. They have wasted a lot of resources to get their car at Melbourne along with planned upgrades only to take everything back and not put the car on the track one day before it was meant to be.

Yes, they will start the season at a disadvantage points wise and data wise, but the health of the people that are involved in the business should take priority over everything. Corona Virus doesn't have a high mortality rate, and the symptoms are not horrible, however we have no cure and no vaccine for it and that's what makes it dangerous. We can't go around and spread the virus everywhere because although the chances are that most people will not die from it, some people will. I am huge Formula 1 / McLaren fan myself, I have to say, we can't risk that for anything, especially not for some sports event.

Andrew Benson reporting 2 senior sources say it's been called off so I wouldn't worry too much about McLaren being disadvantaged. The right decision after it was confirmed to have made it to the paddock

Understandable. Good decision, too. After all, if drivers are carrying the infection, and might even get unwell during the race, it might be dangerous.

Drivers drive all the time whilst unwell, they are professionals and quite capable of pulling over if it gets too much, but I agree it shouldn’t go ahead, but out of respect for the situation not the driver’s safety

Regardless if it is or isn’t postponed, it won’t be a shame for Mclaren... And it isn’t only about the team members at Melbourne right now, it’s also about their families back at home.

If you have the power to avoid spreading the virus in within your organization, you should... There is no way Mclaren doesn’t look good in this situation.

Are there people that seriously believe that Mclaren didn't do well in this situation? Christ. If the whole paddock catches the virus and with them all these spectators then the shame is on the rest.

McLaren have been the only positive today, just outright stating their intent and keeping their personnel safe, they didn't care if the race went ahead without them, they're looking after themselves
