how much better would be the outcomes even with what is a sufficient amount of ventilators ?
afaik not a lot
Terrific, it sounds like they really have nailed it.henry wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 09:58A group at Oxford and Kings Universities have designed and prototyped a simple ventilator in a week. Having a ventilator would give one a better fighting chance than if that person doesn't have one. This goes for both young and old patients. When you don't have enough ventilators, you end up having to make a choice on who gets it, or maybe you won't have a choice anymore. In that case, more people would die.Tommy Cookers wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 10:21how much better would be the outcomes with an ample supply of ventilators ?

You quoted an interview from 21.3, but there was another one on 23.03 where Marko said it.Capharol wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 09:05.dans79 wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 02:20This is just one of those things that makes you wonder why he hasn't been fired long ago..............

“The best thing would be if he got infected now, he’s 22, it’s not at a high risk and he would be in a better place for the run to the title later being already immune.”
that is not what the original interview is saying ..... like at all, not 1 word about Max Verstappen.
but from planetf1 you can't expect anything else ....
the full translated interview in "Krone Zeitung""Krone": How do you experience this dramatic time?

Cool that it's basically based on a manual ventilator. Very pragmatic.kimetic wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 10:25Terrific, it sounds like they really have nailed it.henry wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 09:58A group at Oxford and Kings Universities have designed and prototyped a simple ventilator in a week. So it was a jokey tease really? Helmut gets a bad press i think. Niki used to like him, he's a good guy imo just tough afWouter wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 10:26You quoted an interview from 21.3, but there was another one on 23.03 where Marko said it.

You realized, that they changed the criteria yesterday? New counting rules are on the RKI website. Since this week they not only count positive tests, but also all contact persons with respiratory symptoms.
This is not correct. The numbers are always counted on the day of the test, also if they are recorded later.
The numbers will be incomparable anyway, due to the fact that there's a threshold of how many people can be tested. Tests are limited, staff to do those tests are limited, the time required to process those tests are limited. Once that threshold is reached for a particular region, you're limited in how many you can count, hence the number no longer is accurate.basti313 wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 11:16You realized, that they changed the criteria yesterday? One can, of course, say that this is the more correct way to do it, but that also makes the numbers incomparable and raises the number starting this week.

It's a very different problem to test hundredths of people in a day or thousands, if not ten-thousands.
You aren't wrong. PlanetF1 placed the wrong article link.
I think the opposite to be fair, if the Merc chassis is as good as what is rumoured this year, and thereby next year as well due to the chassis freeze then I'd say Hamilton is almost a Schu in (lol I'm sorry) for titles 7 and 8.
