New polymers/ceramics/glass

I need to write a research paper on a new material developed in the last two years, and have no idea where to start. We must choose a topic that hasnt been done by a previous years students and cannot be older than 2018. Anyone have some pointers?

This is pretty old technology used decades ago for aircraft turbine blades.

I suggest you to look at 3D printing materials, there should be something new there.

I came across a polymer called Polydiketoenamine that was discovered last year. In the presence of strong acid it breaks down into it's two parent monomers and can be recycled without degradation unlike basically any other polymer that exists.
