I agree with everybody saying Bottas is the perfect situation for everyone involved.
Proven solid driver and not a trouble maker.
From Valterri's perspective, he gets a change of scenery where he might have better chances.

The only thing that tops that from Ferrari's perspective would be Hamilton himself, not only you get a fantastic driver but a big part of what makes Mercedes... Mercedes.
Plus i think it would a lot of fun to see Hamilton in Red vs Sebastian in silver.

All this Leclerc "needs to be protected" is stupid, if he needs an average driver beside him than he isn't worthy of being Ferrari's lead.

It would be interesting if 2020 kicks off and Seb becomes a champion 😁

If Seb decides to leave all together, how about Mercedes squeeze Russell in at Mclaren as part of the deal. George and Lando would be a great pairing for an up and coming team.

Still waiting for someone to explain why Hamilton would go to Ferrari. He doesn't speak Italian, they have a "young gun" that is their future, they aren't known for making great calls race after race, they are known for politics. Winning another title or two at Mercedes would be his desire. He's a Mercedes man through and through. He's been with them in one form or another for his whole career.
still waiting for you to drop your hamilton hating. it's been explained clear as day, but your hatervision doesn't allow it through. each to his own though.

also, he's not speaking italion, with all respect, is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. You think Schumacher spoke italian before going to Ferrari?

That thought had crossed my mind. The Mercedes powertrain could be an interesting facilitator.

Looking at this objectively, the question that needs to be asked is...

Why would Vettel leave a team he was convinced could give him a 5th title? A lot of implications, but this being the F1 circus, we'll get the spin, the rumors and maybe some day a semblance of truth.

Prophecy has come to pass, young leclerc has vanquished Vettel.
Bottas would bea valuable replacement a race winner. Also Bottas can also bring trade secrets to ferrari and i suspect he is much faster than Vettel and he also makes less mistakes. If Bottas asks for a multi year deal and they give it to him, he will go to the red team.
Sainz, now may not bring as much to the table as Bottas.

Bottas seat at Mercedes will be filled by Russel , Ricciardo, Alonso or Raikonen.
For Sure!!

I think it played out like this:
Seb: Hi guys, I'd like a big load of cash to drive that bus you call a racing car for the next couple of years
Team: Why should we pay you a big load of cash when you're not performing?
Seb: Well, I'm a four-time world champion so I'm worth every cent. You can't get that sort of talent just anywhere!
Team: But the young lad over there playing computer games beat you in the same car and costs us a few packets of crisps and some cans of Red Bull. And he's happy to get that for the next 4 years. How about we give you crisps and Red Bull until you can show you're worth more than him?
Seb: Bye guys, it's been nice working with you.

So Eddie Jordan gets it right again?
I guess so Eddie Jordan has been calling things right for years now. Can some one ask him when Newcastle United will win a Championship please.

I am just guessing but the brand Ferrari needs a person to promote it and Vettel just escaping driving his mini van having no social media profile is not really helping
