I think Vettel could do LeMans 24hours with Red Bull in the future.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Apparently RP made clear it's Stroll & Perez until 2022, which makes Renault the only option for Vettel ..
I do not think RP was ever an option. Or who of them should be replaced? The son of the team boss or the only good paydriver in the field???

Yes, rather LeMans than going for Renault F1. Something like this is also my bet...but I would rather see him with Ferrari, maybe even if they go for Indy?

For LeMans the big question will be, if a Hypercar can compete with the BOP restricted prototypes...I have my doubt on this as the race is always durability limited. And running in 2nd class is also not very appealing.

I’m not saying Vettel will replace Perez. But in answer to your question - Stroll Sr. could want to have a top driver in his car along the journey to make AM a top team. He certainly has the money to buy Checo’s contract out

Tbh I don’t think Vettel is on such chummy terms with his current employer anymore

Vettel has not had his best years in 18 and 19 by his lofty standards. But I love these posts of "endless mistakes."

Sainz, who was in a McLaren (far less pressure environment than Ferrari) crashed in Bahrain and Germany? I think he was incredibly lucky to keep going. And Ricciardo, who is often made out as the re incarnation of Jesus had errors in Aus, ran into his team mate in Bahrain and Brazil. These are just at the top of my head. If I re-watch the season, there might be more.

It's amazing how much your performances are magnified when at the sharp end.

The other thing I can't figure out is that if Ferrari have perceived that Carlos is going to play ball to their dreams of lap dogging their wonder boy then they're in for a shock of a lifetime because Carlos is a good kid and he is bloody fast!
"Sebastian there's very, you're a member of a very select few.. Stewart, Lauda, Piquet, Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Fangio.. VETTEL!"

Actually Perez to Renault and Vet to RP makes alot of sense if it weren't for Ocon. And you know what happened last time Ocon and Perez were on the same team.

I see only retirment for Vettel, which is sad, no German driver on a season first time ever?
Perez would actually step down to Renault then. lol. The Pink Mercedes is not just a pretty face. Last I heard it's nipping at the heels of the top three.

Most people pegged it at clear best of the rest after preseason testing IIRC. But would RP/AM have the developmental capacity to keep that up until 2021 starts?

WOW lol in the past Force India was able to develop competitive cars using very little.
If anyone can develop on a tight budget its that team and with the regulations frozen for 2021 they more then should be able to bite at the heals of the top 3. Plus their 2020 car is believed to be a Pink Merc. So i dont undestand why anyone would doubt their ability to be competitive now that they have solid funding and are expanding their factory.

Sergio Perez and Stroll will remain in Aston Martin i dont see them losing those 2.

Vettel will have to step down to Renault if he wants to remain in F1 or say goodbye.
If even Redbull dont want him why would Aston have to step in to save the day when
they have a fixed project in mind and a key driver in Perez who has helped them
develop this project for some time now.

Seems to me like Vettel and Reanult make a lot of sense it would help Ocon being alonside a driver like Sebastian.

I suspect this is more a way to put a little pressure on the ongoing negotiations with Hamilton then an actual plan.

Yeah true, doesnt make any sense if it is true
i hope Russell gets the Merc seat if Bottas is going to renault
that way Merc has a young and fast driver for future as all other top teams have such drivers

Wow, read the comments on that site. Talk about fan-boy arguments! It makes one realise how good we are in comparison, even if we do give the mods work to do now and then with various arguments.
