I doubt it is significant because that area is not really critical. Just a little more space for the air to hit the rear-wing but it isn't too much. They might be keeping it like that to avoid any heat-related reliability problems, since the benefits of making the bodywork tighter there are not worth the risk of not finishing a race at all.
