Mexico's drivers used to race in Gold mixed with Stripes for the colors of their teams. So Mexico has to be gold not yellow? and also instead of the Royal Blue X they used stripes using the colors of the Constructors .
So i don't think Lotus, Mercedes, or anyone using black need to ask permission from the Kiwis to use black.
If you had to get permission to use Yellow you'd have to ask 5 different Auto Racing Associations. Brazil Cuba Malaysia ect.
