You can mesh with gambit off of solidworks models. It is often confused with spline points and can end up meshing incorrectly(getting bad results). You can manipulate solidworks extrusions to re-locate lines. You need to be pretty experienced with solidworks and whatever cfd program you are using.
I have seen most mesh volumes being similar to large wind tunnels, like 7-10 times larger than the wing. Run only half of the wing/nose to save on computer memory and increase the mesh as much around the wing/nose as you're memory can handle. Clustering computers always helps too!
I'll use cosmos floworks rof meshing and analysis because this is my first project and floworks is easy to use than fluent which will take more time for learing then i'll turn to fluent in the next projects.But would you pleas tell me the advantage of fluent that make it the stronger (as i think) cfd code most of F1 teams use it lke ferrari.(i think there is a car Manufacturers and teams not in the formula1 use cosmosfloworks).

the flow domain does not need to be the size of a wind tunnel and previously stated, the size of the domain depends completely on what you are modelling. You need to look at your model and decide (from experience) what kind of effects are going to occur so that the domain is designed for these. For example, if you model a 5% thickness symmetric airfoil at 0 AOA, Then you know that the start of the domain can be reasonably close to the model because there will not much of a stagnation point, and the wake behind this will be relitively small so there will be no need for a huge domian after the model. On the other extream, if we model a big box, we are going to expect a big stagnation point as well as lots of flow disturbance at the front of the model, so you need to allow room for this at the begining of the domain. The behind the model you will get a large wake, so you need to allow for this to completely dissapate to free steam velocity.

CFD is based around assumptions; the accuracy of the solution depends not only on the knowledge of the mathematics behind the software but the assumptions the user makes!!!
First I would like to thank you russ. second about our problem ,for example in case of rear wing with 30 cm wide or 40 cm the domain in front of the wing will be about .5 m abd the same at the bake.or what larger?
