Its easier than that. Did we see the car move before the lights vanished? Then he jumped the start! It’s doesn’t need a bloody sensor just as it didn’t last season. The sensor rule was used to excuse it......The FIA didn’t feel the need to update it.

It's a boring argument but.. The cars 'move' when the engage the clutch, but obviously that isn't what you mean. So rather, you mean move by a measurable amount. And then you define the amount.... And then a car moves visibly but less than the amount..... And them people complain about the amount... And then people suggest that visible movement should be the trigger.... And then....

Video evidence should be sufficient to “overrule” a sensor not picking up on movement. I dont get the logic that the sensor data is the only viable data.

But it picked up movement, no? Just less than the threshold. Wherever there are sensors there will be tolerance, and wherever there is tolerances there will be cases that are missed.

Fwiw I think the sensor / thresholds should be modelled after drag racing, just have a minimum reaction time. But I don't mind this system so much. Shrug.

I KNOW! now that there is the biggest performance discrepancy since 2014, lets freeze engine and aero development! Oh and DAS is legal! Oh and Bottas definitely didn’t jump the start all business as usual. Lapped the whole field minus Verstappen. Credit to max for being the one non-Mercedes on the lead lap LMAO. All is well here. Definitely not a problem.

Very poor from Bottas not to get past Verstappen here. He’s not going to beat Hamilton over a season unless there’s technical gremlins a la 2016.

Bottas is such a poor racer, Mercedes doesn’t even need to pick a nr. 1 driver. It sorts out naturally. That’s why they won’t sack Bottas.
