How about all those who thought, last year it was a no brainer with 2 stops for Lewis and him hauling Verstappen? This year, with much better car, Bottas couldn't replicate it. That's the difference a driver makes.
Bottas used up too much of his tyres in the early phase looking back at the laptimes.
That's not new. He always struggles with tyres in races, relative to Lewis.
What even Bottas 8.0(Or whatever Number or BS Is being peddled this week)? Surely not. This is new, new, new, new, etc improved Bottas hadn’t you heard?

Penalty for both Haas cars for instructing drivers to pit (+10s). Also no penalty for Albon
So because Kvyat asked the team he’s ok?

Telling your drivers to pit? Terrible offense I think DSQ at minimum! FIA too lenient again.

Well. Kvyat didn't get any response on his question(there is a video on reddit). Were they ignoring him cause they were running towards pitwall or they intentionally didn't respond to avoid penalty that is another matter

Maybe so.

So is it just impossible to ever box on the formation lap then? Unless the driver just parks in the pit box and hopes the team get the hint. Very odd penalty

FIA/Mercedes assistence looks fine... No penalty for Bottas but tuff one for any other driver or team.

So Norris gets away with getting coached around whole laps but HAAS gets smacked for telling drivers tondo something during the formation lap? 'Rly?

Err the during the formation lap is exactly why. Clearly its allowed in the race, this about aiding the race start.

FIA to Haas F1..."Do not let the door knob hit you in the arse when you exit at the end of the season!"

It is looking like 18 cars max next year.

El Scorchio How many drivers have got into F1 because of connections. Either though sponsor connections or ex F1 driver father connections or buying their rides.. If it bothers some people tough ---. There are a few things that bother me about how F1 operates but it is what it is. Time to get over it. If stroll keeps beating perez why shouldn't it be perez thats replaced by Vettle. Seems normal to me.
Yup, as I said he's hardly the first, (and absolutely by no means the worst) but his dad has absolutely taken it to another level.
TBH I quite like the kid and there's no anti Canada bias here as Villeneuve jr is one of my favourite drivers ever.

No problem with Perez being ousted over Stroll IF Stroll is performing better or at least more or less equal to him, so let's see what happens over the course of this season. 52 points to 21 (last season) is rather sizable in favour of Perez though and if that were the same this time I think some ire over nepotism would be justifiable. However at the end of the day you're right. It is tough on anyone who may disagree. Stroll Sr can do whatever he likes regarding the drivers in his team and Stroll Jr is hardly an embarrassment to anyone.

I understand that what they did is a violation of article 27.1. But I am surprised that there are exemptions where a driver can be coached, turn by turn, around the track but the team can not tell a driver to pit, during the formation lap because they have the wrong tyres.

Kvyat was spot on but unfortunately his team was not ready. It would have been masterstroke for him as he would have been running in front of Haas and probably would have finished 6th or higher.
