McLaren have been struggling with tyre wear, so I guess they were forced into a 2 stop regardless.

That’s a very valid point... But given the times when they went for the pitstop, the pace didn’t drop dramatically before the pit.

But, reality is the team knows more than me and have all the info to make these decisions... Sainz pitted... Stayed ahead of Albon, that’s good!

I believe it was because Bottas lapped them, that change the gaps

P6 for Carlos, good result. Lando P10, but had the pace for P7, that start cost him today. Encouraging weekend overall!

4 seconds away from P4 on merit is very impressive on a track that wasn't the best for us. But let's see some upgrades!

Very good race for Carlos today. I think the strategy was correct. Try to avoid hard tyre and to cover some others strategy (succes with Albon for Carlos but not for Lando with Gasly). Also good pit stops. So, overall, nice race rythm from our guys (very very close to RP).

I think blue flags cost us at least p5 today

The 2 stopper was the right call at the end... Barcelona is a very tough track to overtake and Lando just couldn’t get Gasly at the end.

But overall it was a good weekend for the team:

- Outscoring Ferrari
- Outscoring both Renaults
- Ahead of one Red Bull
- Both cars in the points

Now, a well deserved break before Spa, where Lando should get a fresh PU in a power track... Spa should be a better track for the MCL35 and hopefully a few upgrades should be ready by then.
