Please explain this in technical terms or is it just because he has a superior car?

It looks as if Merc has figured out the tire issue from the previous race!

In the absence of any opposition, how much do Hamilton's titles and victories mean? Nothing for me.

My mind boggles as to how pathetic Bottas is!

Friendly reminder that last week, the narrative was that the W11 wasn’t dominant at all.

Also a friendly reminder that in 2017, Vettel was leading the championship into the summer break.

In 2018, Vettel was leading the championship after Silverstone and also leading the German Grand Prix to extend his lead until he crashed from the lead.

In sum, kinda hard to take your sour grapes seriously.

Turned into a Hamilton masterclass.
But you know... Max was favourite. When will people stop believing Toto?

Pretty dull race overall. Nothing much else to say really.

Would you care to remind us of the last F1 driver to win a World Drivers Championship in a car that didnt win the constructors?

Same exact tyres as in Silverstone, C2 and C3 used in race by Mercedes, track temperature around 50 degrees, much more than Silverstone, far more abrasive track, yet, no signs of any tyre issues. Guess the only variable? Balloon pressures of 27 PSI. Things are back to normal pressures, the picture is back to Mercedes dominating.

So much of noise through last week downplaying a car that has been the class of the field for such a long time.

It was a bit at the front. All done and dusted after the first corner. Lots of interesting stuff behind!

I think they should have been wary and respectful of the RBR pace but ‘favourite’ was a bit of a stretch wasn’t it. Interesting to think how it could have panned out if Max had somehow made it into turn 1 in the lead

Oh. And nice to see Vettel put in a decent drive. I feel for him at the moment.

Bottas couldn’t get near Max. If the car was so much better as you claim he’d have been at least threatening him as it was he never got within two seconds.

The boxed both Seb and Charles on the same lap with different tyres. They are clearly making sure they score points with one car or what I don't know but it's just not making any sense whatsoever to me.

This !

At no point did he every apply any pressure on Max, the Merc was better and could go longer on both tires, even with a tire offset he couldn't make an impression.
