Could a team on a qualifying lap run the system where the BOV is directly integrated into the Air/Air intercoolers in the side-pods, and use it to form a counter-flow bubble that would block the incoming air, and reduce drag on the straights.
It would be driven by the MGU-H overboosting the turbo on purpose just to cause the BOV to open at certain speeds.
Obviously, it would restrict cooling, but on a single qualifying lap, I feel it could be done.
Thoughts?
