I do not believe the team are moving to Mercedes because of significant performance gain, but more because of the chance to become the factory Mercedes team again, when Mercedes shareholders decide to quit their own team. That chance is quite likely in the upcoming years. Especially because of the financial crisis.
Ya...very strange that...used softs seems not to help us. Let's see.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 15:54Disappointing first run, Sainz had a better lap in Q2.
"Both crews dive onto the cars for fuel and tyres. It's a rush to get out. Both cars away on Used Soft tyres. Definitely not the normal Q3 programme!"
- I don't get how they don't have one more new set? Sainz ran only once in Q1, Norris only did an out lap in Q1. I thought they get 4 sets + 1 more if you enter Q3.
I doubt this is true. Sainz saved a set in Q1, Norris did only an outlap on his second set in Q1, so they both probably had new softs for both runs.101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 16:03Used soft for both on the final run according to the mclaren app. Wow!
