I far rather him not pulling away but making PER sit in the dirty air. Overheating the car and tires. Much better than being 3/4sec ahead

Lando seems to be controlling the pace compared to Perez and the train. He is slightly gaining each lap. Good job for Sainz pulling away and making distance. We will need it.

As long as he is within 5 seconds of Carlos, he is getting a tow... But, the gap is good to Carlos for good sector 2... Now the gap to Perez is settled at 1.8 seconds which is good

Yep, definitely pacing himself and using his energy down the back straight down to parabolica to stay out if range down the main straight. Starting to gap perez now though, so should hopefully create a nice buffer before the pitstop.
