We are effectively P4 and P5 as GIO and HAM have stop and go. STR should drop back as well as he didn't pit. So P3 and P4. We have GAS and RAI ahead of us, we should be able to overtake them.

Our biggest threat is Bottas, if he can get his head together he could overtake us and take the win.

All cars can change tyres during the red flag stoppage so it’s effectively a sprint race to the flag once the race restarts. Shame to have gotten unlucky with the timing allowing the cars that stopped early through but we should have the pace to dispatch them without too much problem apart from the Racing Point who will get a free pit stop.

Yes, he gets a free pit stop and will be on the lead to restart the race... Stroll and Gasly got really lucky

STR can change his tires during a red flag condition. This has not helped our cause

I think Stroll gets a free pitstop from this. He is effectively leading.

We are in a good position, we should be able to pass the Alfas, then we need to overtake Gasly.

All of this with keeping Bottas behind, will be hard to do, but the double podium finish (and maybe a hard earned win) is on the table.

What is this, IndyCar? Never in my life have I seen such a ridiculous reason to bring out the safety car. Unbelievable.

Red flag now too!!! So again a standing start? With the Mercedes behind us. Damn, why it must be so tough to be a McLaren fan.... So unfair that first SC.

It won't be standing start, the safety car will pick them up.

I believe the rules were changed a couple of years ago, to have a standing start after a red flag.. and if I remember correctly, you can swap tyres under red flag. Or is that only when there is a wet track?

Mclaren need 2 more lightning starts like they had the first time... mixed up grid makes me think there could be carnage though

Well, to be fair, standing start might be a benefit for us. McLaren has great starts, we might be able to get couple of cars ahead of us if it's a normal start.

Lady Luck is spitting us in the face so far. We got screwed so far but the race isn't over yet. We have to do a full agressive attack now.

The issue is the free pitstop. Lance stroll gets a free stop while at the front. He's in a position to win this race
