Bottas might rue taking the life out his tyres so early in the stint. Fastest lap after fastest lap, but how long will the hard last if he keeps that up?
He just can't match the pace of his team mate without taking more life out of the tyres. We've seen it time after time.
Bottas was in no clean air. Look at the track characteristics and the temperatures. Impossible to have better tyres than your team mate in the same car.

Just saying what’s logical. Other than that, I know Bottas is one of the worst drivers regarding race pace and wheel to wheel fight. Hamilton basically has no opponent in the current season.

God it's awful watching the Ferraris 10 and 11 in a race with only 13 cars. You expect four of the seven retired cars to be ahead of them as well.

Well then you can just argue he should have done a better job on the restart of the race and kept Hamilton behind him. He had all the cards in his favour earlier and he's played a poor hand.

With tyres I'd argue Hamilton is just kinder on tyres whether in traffic or clean air. We have seen it so many times. Hamilton just pulls a gap out slowly whenever he's the leading Merc, which Bottas can almost never do when it's reversed. Hamilton is always on his heels.

Safety car incoming.

Well now, Bottas could have just struck gold here with the timing of this safety car! How is your luck :)

Looks like the SC picked up the wrong Mercedes.

Well that's played in to Bottas's hands...

A SC screwup has saved him.

Another standing start? Maybe it still has played in to Bottas's hands...

Another red flag. Omfg.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

You know, if your tyres are dead, they’re dead. Should they have let Bottas out and make him lose 1 second per lap for several more laps until Hamilton got in first?
More like 8s since thats how much he lost on the inlap.
Traffic played a part in that gap, no?
More like traffic was flying away from him and chasing him from behind. You don't lose 8s in traffic in 1 lap anyway in normal circumstances.
