And what would happen if we hadn't had all of those crashes in front and behind us to get us up to 6th?Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑13 Sep 2020, 17:33Makes me wonder what could Sainz have done if he has finished all those passes.
After what seemed a pretty bad weekend for the team... Finishing P6 and not losing a huge amount of points to Renault and RP is a good result.Xero wrote:Decent damage limitation after a difficult weekend.
I am sure that he would have finished in the points, but he would have struggled as Lando did with Sector 1... But, it’s impossible to tell what may have happened (I guess you can run any race outcome you want in your imagination).Darth-Piekus wrote:Makes me wonder what could Sainz have done if he had managed all those passes.
The real bad luck today was starting on the wrong side of the track on every restart... It always placed Lando outside of the tow towards turn 1.Chalke wrote:Considering the pace shown by the car, and the bizarre , interrupted, luck of the draw kind of race... that's probably not a bad result points-wise even if it was a little frustrating to watch.
Well Sainz might have been 4th and Norris might have been 8th. We have done well today considering what happened. Good damage limitation at the end of the day. We won't really know at the end of the day.mwillems wrote: ↑13 Sep 2020, 17:34And what would happen if we hadn't had all of those crashes in front and behind us to get us up to 6th?Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑13 Sep 2020, 17:33Makes me wonder what could Sainz have done if he has finished all those passes.
Carlos aside, we have done extremely well out of today.
Don't bite the hand of luck that feeds you.
I am starting to see a pattern here...we used to have this questions about another spanish driver....Lando is quick enough by himself that he manages to pull out the potential from the car. Mugello was not the best track, like Silverstone wasnt but loss of points was near minimal.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑13 Sep 2020, 17:33Makes me wonder what could Sainz have done if he had managed all those passes.
