I don't think it'll change much with Hamilton starting on Softs... even if he would need to pit sooner than Bottas, he can switch to Mediums (or Hards) and use the fresh rubber to claw back some of the time. Seems likely it'll be a 2 stop race regardless.

... and after the first runs in Q3, I doubt Bottas is THAT far behind. More interestingly, only 0.004 seconds between Verstappen and Ricciardo!

That was a pretty shitty move, backing them up in the pitlane?

Yep. Clearly not sportsman’s like behaviour.
That’s an interesting strategy if allowed though... If you need to make sure that one of your cars go by, can all the teams do it? I mean, park your cars at the front fo the pitlane and then block everyone else to screw their laps

Must be demoralising for Bottas, I’m sure he’s not that far behind, even still he’s getting whipped by Lewis in the same car.

I doubt he is too. However he’s now in a situation where he HAS to nail it. Hamilton has a very nice banker lap in though.

Ricciardo looks good for 3rd here IMHO.

In the initial Q3 runs Such is the dominance of the W11. Bottas so far off Ham's pace and yet it's still fast enough to be 2nd. Max is 1 second quicker then Albon the cost is several positions difference.

Well done mr Verstappen! A half tenth off what I predicted the car could do.

After being 1 second away from P15 Lewis is on Pole by 0.652 of his team mate wow.

Wow, was really expecting Bottas to be a lot closer to Lewis... it might not be all bad for the start of the race though; He can really make the most of the slip-stream into Turn 2 at the start of the race... unless Max gets a run on Lewis first!

Great lap from Perez to get into P4... without the upgrades; Performance of the day for me!

Albon a long way off in P10 there... if that wasn't a mistake, then I'm not sure what else you can say about that lap. :wtf:
