Masi can't hold a candle to Charlie Whiting.El Scorchio wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 21:28Every race we seem to be discussing what seem obvious bad decisions or inconsistencies from the stewards, race director or FIA (affecting many drivers and teams) such a shame really.
The difference is there non specific designated place have a practice start,..it just states after the pit light to the right side and not to impede others, nothing more.Sieper wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 21:54The difference is that everybody else had to practice from a rubbered in dedicated spot. That spot is not fully representative of your actual grid slot and thus the clutch cannot be totally accurately dialed in. Which was also the reason Hamilton got creative “too much rubber here”, he radioed to the team.
It is not just the clutch bite point (but thanks for that info, didn’t know) you also practice yourself with starting. The more realistic (Not rubbered in) the better.siskue2005 wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 22:09The difference is there non specific designated place have a practice start,..it just states after the pit light to the right side and not to impede others, nothing more.Sieper wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 21:54The difference is that everybody else had to practice from a rubbered in dedicated spot. And the cluth bite point is locked, same as part ferme and engine mode. They cannot change it after qualy
Of course it is dangerous, Masi is a complete idiot, how difficult is it to understand that everything between the lines should be for racing and everything outside the lines should be for safety, he is still putting launch ramps just off the racing surface.

Seems the approach verstappen took before even touching a kerb was the only way to safely get through this Masi obstruction , otherwise it was a complete failure as Grosjean proved by trying to drive through them after he went sliding on the Masi skaterampmaxxer wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 22:41ENGINE TUNER wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 22:23Of course it is dangerous, Masi is a complete idiot, how difficult is it to understand that everything between the lines should be for racing and everything outside the lines should be for safety, he is still putting launch ramps just off the racing surface.
Even the route and speed that VER took wasn't safe, could have easily been considered an unsafe reentry even though VER did so according to the rules/regs. VER could have easily hit RIC and SAI could have easily caused a huge pileup bouncing back on track into an acceleration zone. Complete clusterfook. The launch ramps need to go, and the lines policed by penalty, not by obstacles on the track. Masi is so clueless it's hard to understand how he even got his position b4 Charlie passed.maxxer wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 22:52Seems the approach verstappen took before even touching a kerb was the only way to safely get through this Masi obstruction , otherwise it was a complete failure as Grosjean proved by trying to drive through them after he went sliding on the Masi skaterampmaxxer wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 22:41ENGINE TUNER wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 22:23
