That's Red Bull screwed then...
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Well, the Renault engine is the second best on the grid now, so it looks like they will get some more customers going forward.

Looking at it. It’s going to be a situation where Renault are forced to supply. However you can be certain RedBull will just get given the engines with no input allowed.

I'm expecting a period of Horner claiming, yet again, that Mercedes should give them an engine but won't because they're scared.

Took them so many time, money and reputation to make an engine reliable and competitive... when they achive that, they want to leave...

Easy: others already have their capacities full with teams they supply.
Mercedes: works team, Williams, Aston Martin, McLaren
Ferrari: works team, Alfa Romeo, Haas
Renault: works team

If nobody will (understandable) then the supplier with the least teams has too. That’s Renault by a long way. Remember in 2021 and after they supply nobody.

Well, Maybe in 2022, Haas is Mazepin F1, and maybe they want Renault. Then it's 2-2 Ferrari and Renault. My point was that it's not definitively Renault that should be forced, but that it's [an engine supplier] that should be forced, on [some criterion]. That criterion may logically be the number of customers they have, but since that can change, it doesn't make it definitive it should be Renault. And one could argue it's not even the right criterion.

Classic Japanese idiots...pulling out without any warning and after having the best chance of winning at last (2022)! Same as in 2009!

Yeah nice now with only 3 engine manufacturers...better call it GP1 by 2022 with the almost spec cars we'll have!

The world is going crazy about the environment and well we should do, but sometimes i think people find it as an excuse just to accomplish other things!

Anyway, Formula 1 is in need of new engine regulations and i don't see how they are not going fully electric by 2025! Engine manufacturers don't seem too interested of F1 now and that's only correct since you need billions to make a good F1 engine to compete! Some years ago they were talking about simplified engines to bring costs down...but where did these talks end up?? In the bin apparently...

Those are the actual rules.

Look at it logically.
Ferrari have themselves, Alfa (Owned by Ferrari) and Haas (Ferrari component tie-in) sewn up so they’re out.
Mercedes have multi year deals with their teams plus they currently have one of their stars of the future driving for Williams until at least 2021. Toto Wolff has a tie in with Austin Martin. McLaren have JUST signed a military year deal.

Then ask why would Ferrari, Mercedes and Renault want to give a team like RedBull their power unit if ti helps them compete with themselves.

From 2021 Renault have nobody but themselves and so by the rules they HAVE to supply. It logically can be nobody else.
