I don't think either Hamilton or Dieter is going to change their political views... so Hamilton to RedBull will be a no-no.godlameroso wrote: ↑06 Nov 2020, 22:41Let's get really silly. Do you think that since Perez's backers have similar politics to Hamilton, that it hurts Perez's chance of joining Red Bull? Also I wonder if Hamilton's politics are compelled via corporate influence.Jolle wrote: ↑07 Nov 2020, 16:54I don't think either Hamilton or Dieter is going to change their political views... so Hamilton to RedBull will be a no-no.godlameroso wrote: ↑06 Nov 2020, 22:41Let's get really silly. There is a difference of having a private political opinion or being active on opposite sides, like Dieter Mateschitz (and Hamilton) are. Dieter is busy building a “Breitbart of German speaking countries” kinda movement.nzjrs wrote: ↑07 Nov 2020, 17:34Hmm, I wonder about the politics of people interpreting the politics of Hamilton interpreting the politics of Marko via the politics of UK vis-à-vis brexit, although Hamilton lives in Monaco, so it's hard to really value national politics in an international cosmopolitan sportsman context. However politics are personal in political year 2020 except USA politics which is universal and supercedes the personal politics of the individual. Now this is confusing because RB sells drinks but ecopolitically is are these vegan and climate neutral? Although maybe that's not a relevant question now that F1 goes to Saudi?
In summary; Politics Politicos Politik!
Jos did took Jan's seat at the same team (when it was called Stewart)...
That would be explosive. Maybe not on track as I don’t think Kmag would be all too near Max too often but off track the fireworks would be intense.
Of course this scenario will not happen, but it's a nice thought experiment.godlameroso wrote: ↑06 Nov 2020, 22:41Let's get really silly. Hamilton to Red Bull along Verstappen vs Bottas and Esteban Gutierrez in Mercedes. That'd be an interesting championship.
not sure about the goldmine,
That's got zero merit or chance.FrukostScones wrote: ↑07 Nov 2020, 16:48Esteban Gutierrez?godlameroso wrote: ↑06 Nov 2020, 22:41Let's get really silly. Hamilton to Red Bull along Verstappen vs Bottas and Esteban Gutierrez in Mercedes. That'd be an interesting championship.
No.
I would have understood Sergio Perez.
Or Pastor Maldonado. (last Williams Gp Winner (ever?)).
But Esteban Gutierrez?
That's why he has been dumped I guess. On pure speed, he was slower than Grosjean, but on reckless driving, they were on par. I am sure Haas ran out of patience with both of them. Good for Haas. The bar is currently so low there, anyone jumping in those seats should instantly be better. All they need to do is, bring the car in one piece.
