Sainz even got a 3 position penalty drop for tomorrow...well it was fun as long as it lasted.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

So a 3 position penalty for Sainz for impeding someone but Stroll escapes with 5 seconds for destroying Norris's race.

Perez said he was cleared of the incident with him. Surprised to hear that.

It could get ever better.... Norris has been summoned to the stewards as well for not slowing during Laftis yellow during Q1. That’ll be another slam dunk grid drop as well

That is the problem with the FIA these last 20 years. Rules and Penalties are enforced in Mclaren only in mass. Meanwhile they are doing secret meetings to decide rules with favored teams (Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull), rename illegalities into loopholes, let B Teams exist, let copy cars exist and are afraid to penalise favorites because they will threaten to leave. On the other hand Mclaren suffered an economic breakdown because of the Spygate while others have escaped in similar situations, forced to lose most of their good personnel to Mercedes and their star driver, recieves no respect as the second biggest team in the sport with the second biggest fanbase around the world and I wonder how many more years are they gonna pass by before they return to a World Championship Challenge.

Your excuses after every poor qualifying or race are so draining and boring it’s unbelievable. Do you actually believe the sh*t you write? It was a bad day at the office for McLaren, every team has them from time to time yet you always bring up old stories which have no relation to that days performance or say it’s because of other teams luck rather than praise other teams for doing a good job.

You make this thread unbearable and unreadable over race weekends!!

Ok...all of the cars were under investigation and only Norris didn slow down? If you read the decision, it's kind of strange. “Telemetry shows that car four slowed in the sector and resumed speed after the incident. Car four then asked his team if he should abort the lap, but was told to stay out because of the rapidly changing track conditions.

“Car four completed the lap, which turned out to be his fastest lap of Q1. While the stewards acknowledge that car four was not attempting to set a quick lap time, due to the changing track conditions he nevertheless did so and thereby breached the referenced regulations.”

It doesnt make much sence to me. If the conditions were changing, he could set a quick lap even if he didnt attempt to set a quick lap time. Am I wrong here?

At this point, if I were Mclaren I would be introducing new complete PU’s for tomorrow’s race and start from the back of the grid... Having new PU’s for the last 3 races.

Same. Standing last in tricky conditions is better than 15th & 16th anyway.

Times have changed, these engines aren’t free and McLaren are trying to save money. I’m in agreement and support that they should take new elements, but I won’t be surprised if they don’t.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

You might call them excuses but I call them the cold truth and I really don't care if people accept them or not. It is my honest opinion and I am tired of not expressing myself because someone might get offended about my different opinion.

Regarding Norris improving, I think there is a rule that you have to abort the lap once there is double yellow. I'm not sure how it did not affect other people as well.
"Car 4 approached turn 8 which was under double waved yellow flags for Car 6 (Nicolas Latifi). Telemetry shows that Car 4 slowed in the sector and resumed speed after the incident. Car 4 then asked his team if he should abort the lap, but was told to stay out because of the rapidly changing track conditions. Car 4 completed the lap, which turned out to be his fastest lap of Q1. While the stewards acknowledge that Car 4 was not attempting to set a quick lap time, due to the changing track conditions he nevertheless did so and thereby breached the referenced regulations."

I completely agree they should both go for full PU change as long as Renault has enough parts. Good point about the money though.
We'll see what can we do tomorrow.
