If Hamilton wins this race, this forum could self destruct.
I doubt it, lol, return to normal service.

I hope the Hamilton and Mercedes fans managed to survive about 12 hours of moderate uncertainty. Those poor folks had a real tough old time!

He’s flying on those inters. Has the Merc looked after them SO well and kept them cool that they are now /still in great condition?

Hamilton now a pit stop ahead of P3 with P2 in with just as bad rubber a shape as Hamilton.

He can choose to change to new Inters when ever he wants.

I’ve really enjoyed the race weekend. The huge question marks over everything have been great, even if it finally ends up with a ‘normal’ result. Yesterday and especially the first half of today’s race have been brilliant viewing.

Oh totally, give me surprises or give me death! Great weekend so far!

The pearl clutching by some Hamilton / Merecedes people has been entertaining at least.

Hmm, I thought Ver might have gambled on dry tires there. He's got to get back inside Hamiltons pit window now.

This race is a perfect example how DRS is ruining racing. First half of the race they were trying to pass everywhere, mistakes were penalized with spining off the track.Last half of the race, they just wait for DRS zone and outbrake them in turn 12.

It’s interesting to watch this.

Mercedes (Hamilton) better on older Inters.
RedBull better on newer inters.
Ferrari pretty consistent across the board.
Racing Point seemed good on new inters to start and then now better on older.

Yeah I think it’s been a refreshing change to see the Mercedes be a really average car in some conditions. And from Friday to the end of the race just shows how crazy topsy turvey a weekend can go. Poor stroll in 8th. The Ferraris 3 and 4!
I am genuinely surprised Hamilton has got the car out in front as well. Bit of luck with others making errors but it shows the value of patience and keeping the car pointing the right way.

It feels weirdly like the story of the turtle and the hare.

Hamilton now in the position of wondering if he can get fresh inters up to temperature. If he can, a stop is the right thing to do. If he can't then he has to gamble that he can go the distance.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
