This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
The long run pace was better than GAS and with less deg. So not to worry. I think we are going to be very competitive but it’ll be extremely tight with Renault.

So question of the day. Are we still able to get that 3rd position or are we forgetting it for this year due to Racing Point getting too many ready updates from Mercedes?
As f1rules posted, Carlos seems happy with the car. I hope Lando's side of the garage can figure something out as it seems that he is lacking some confidence. We need both cars to gain as many points as possible to get that 3rd place these next races. Perez mentioned that race pace will be extremely important. He was probably harking RP to focus on race pace. Gasly did experience high deg in FP1. Tom, Carlos's race engineer, came on the TeamStream saying that AT's race pace dropped from 1:35.8 to 1:36.5 within 6 laps. RP and Renault seem to be our main competitors this weekend.
Unrelated, but if I were Renault, I would've signed Checo instead of Alonso because who knows how long Alonso will stay.

It seems Lando’s side were carrying out the bulk of the testing of parts, which makes sense, as Carlos won’t be in the car next year. I believe he had the 2021 floor at one stage in FP1. I’m not too bothered, because Lando goes well on this circuit, he should find his rhythm by FP3.
Renault want to put a junior in their car, as part of their long term project. If the rumours are true, they could also be targeting Gasly in the near future, so Fernando is ideal, he has a 2 year deal, with an option for a 3rd. Gives them flexibility.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.
@2018 Singapore Grand Prix drivers press conference.
Looking quite handy after FP3. Hopefully carries through to Qually and the race. If Monza form applies to next week, McLaren actually have a decent shot at that P3 standing.

We will definately have a decent shot even from today if things go normal in those 3 last weekends. By pure luck we haven't cleared that 3rd position yet.
