Wonder how much the tow is worth around here ? Merc did it without a tow. Surprised they did that, almost gave it to Max.

Although it's .026 between them which is very impressive remember this is a short lap so it was always going to be close

Its really terrible how p3 is a better starting position than gp2. The space between the rows should be increased, or maybe the whole grid moved closer to the racing line, but that might be a safety problem if anyone stalls.

0.026 is probably less than what his height costs him :D He should be very very happy.
His weight and the fact his head being higher won’t be helping the Aero.

True, but if you double the lap length, it then only becomes half a tenth. Dont try to take the shine of this for george, it was amazing

Bottas' last lap was not clean but massively impressed by GR. He looks like a good replacement for Bottas in 22. The future.
Now i am interested what his ultimate speed is. We will know in due time.

Theze two drivers allowed RedBull to come too close though. I am very dissapointed that the standards have dropped so far.

Merc is trolling with older tires :D LOVED it. hahhaaaa
Trolling? They just made it clever. Kept the car warm and had more laps to prepare.

Bottas was punching a big hole in the air being the first car but Pole is Pole and he did what he had to do.

Ok.. so... again:

Bottas won with Russell by 0.026 - where we have to say that Russell has no experience with the car and is not fitted well (too small boots etc).

What does it mean?

It mean that Bottas is low? Or it mean that Hamilton is not that superior?

Bottas' first qualifying against Hamilton in 2017 Australian GP, he was 3 tenths behind Lewis. That's after spending months getting used to the team, bespoke build of ergonomics in the car and spending full winter testing. George comes in without any of that and is 2 hundreds behind Bottas. Just amazing!

George wasn't close enough. He was well behind. Max was much closer to George on track, than George was to Bottas. Merc played it fair by keeping them apart.

1. Charles! Let's hope he can keep it up.
2. George should be able to stand on the podium if he can be consistent.
3. Max might not be able to win depending on how good Bottas keeps his focus.
4. Sergio Perez might end up P4. Depending on the race Pace that Leclerc has on that Ferrari. I don't think the Ferrari and the Racing Point will trouble Merc/Max. Not on this circuit.

It means, the car is easy to adapt to. At least that's what's told by logic.

I'm just being realistic is all. And it would be more than just a half a tenth more in a regular track. Bottas is just more comfortable in the car. And I do think Russell is faster in raw speed by the way

Bottas made some slight mistakes so use the gap to Max to judge and he is too close if you ask me. He could had beaten Mercedes here.
