Apart from Bottas, Hamilton has always had amazing team mates and he has beaten them all.
Not according to most of his fans.
He has beat them all. which fans disagree with that. AND NO HAMILTON FANS ARE SAYING BOTTAS IS AMAZING. stop talking nonsense.
I replied to the part in bold. Learn to read. But that is expected from someone who thinks writing in CAPS will prove something somehow.

They stopped him by faking a puncture? What’s your source for this info?
What kind of source do you want me to deliver? Official statement from Mercedes?

Russell's sector times didn't drop. How high is the possibility for a puncture without any reason for that? There was no debris, lock up whatsoever.
Yes Russells times DID drop. he stopped catching Perez for a few laps, and then pitted.
I need to check the sector times again, but that's what the commentator told.

Whatever, might be that I'm overreacting because Russell really deserved that.

Today we've seen why Mercedes has been keeping Bottas for years and I've told that numerous times already: He has the most dominant car, gets just enough points to secure WCC and is the perfect wingman for Lewis. If they still hold on Bottas for 2021 after what happened today, it will only further prove my point. Then I'm sure their intention will be to make Hamilton's 8th world title as easy as possible. No other single reason Bottas has that seat.

Russell totally destroyed him, as sorry as I am for him, but that's the reality. It was painful to watch after some point. George should have gotten the win today, but Mercedes stopped him by faking a puncture. That tells me that they will keep Bottas in 2021 and wanted to limit the embarrassment for him, also to not look like fools when being asked why on earth Russell is still at Williams.

Surely you don’t deep down believe that.
Russell said he felt it in the car.

There was debris. They’d just cleaned the front of Aitken’s car off the track.

So now Hamilton fans apparently think his team mates haven't been that good?
That makes no sense at all, but please do explain.

To the people telling Mercedes can't win without Lewis - what are you trying to do? Those claims sound stupid and you're belittling Russell's exceptional performance today. What a shame.
There are no one in this forums saying that!
It was actually Lewis haters who were lining up to say the opposite!
You can see a lot of haters saying that even when George was hoping FP1 and FP2 sessions

Faking a puncture, really? Come on man your better than that. Russell suddenly stopped catching Perez for a few laps, he had an issue. plus George said the car started to crab down the straights. He definitely had a puncture. dont feed the trolls buddy.
He already said that he felt slow on the straights right after the pit stop. So did they put him on a punctured tyre? If yes, how did he manage several laps on that punctured tyre?
It’s a slow puncture.

He likely got it from having to leave the racing line constantly for overtaking.

This isn’t that unusual.
Yea, I might be overreacting. Need to check the times later when they're on. At least that's what the commentator told.

Btw, shout-out to you for your posts after the race.

Why is there an argument in the race thread about a driver that wasn't even in the race today? Come on guys, it's just ridiculous.

Very kind of you to say that.

I can understand that you were excited for George. So was I. He is dealing with a similar heartbreak to what LEC had to deal with in Bahrain last year.

Future is bright for F1.

Good point. Back to the race, it looked so funny from Charles onboard to see Max plough straight in to the wall, it looked like he did it on purpose, but obviously was that he didn't see the gravel.

I think George's situation is very different mate. Charles knew in that moment that he would fight for more wins that year. George might not find a car to win a race ever again. Seen F1 enough to know that some drivers are destined for somethings and the opportunity never actually materialises and that is why it's even more painful to understand why Bottas will be in the car next year.

It was mentioned that Bottas is no good (true), and the reason he keeps the Mercedes seat is because there maybe a #1/#2 game going on at Mercedes. Then some people got their knickers in the twist.

I’m wading into this against my better judgement. But, he also did get beat by 2 of his ex team mates and tied with one another (the less we talk about 2007, the better). He didn’t exactly “destroy” anyone except kovalainen and now Bottas ( Maybe Rosberg in 2015 counts too)

To Lewis’s credit, the teammates he did get beat by were all world champions themselves.

So, the bottom line is Lewis is still one of the greatest drivers of last 25 years and is top 2 of the current grid, and he did make a difference in 2017 and 2018. But to say that Mercs wouldn’t be walking away with both championships this year without Lewis is just plain stupidity.

Impressive first stint by Russell. I though he would struggle in the race, but did better than expected. So kudos there. Hard to say what would've happend after that since all hell broke lose with the Mercedes pitstops.

Congratulations Perez on the win. Strong race to come from last place to win it. That Racing Point looking good, let's see what Vettel can do next season. Hurts that someone like Perez isn't on the grid and we have the likes of Mazepin, Latifi and even Stroll. Although I would argue the latter one struggles with inconsistency more than pace.

And since most people have no idea what context is, I say, sarcastically; 'Hah! Russell can't even get on the podium with the fastest car. So much for the hype'. :? ;)
