Not according to most of his fans.
He has beat them all. which fans disagree with that. AND NO HAMILTON FANS ARE SAYING BOTTAS IS AMAZING. stop talking nonsense.
I’m wading into this against my better judgement. But, he also did get beat by 2 of his ex team mates and tied with one another (the less we talk about 2007, the better). He didn’t exactly “destroy” anyone except kovalainen and now Bottas ( Maybe Rosberg in 2015 counts too)

To Lewis’s credit, the teammates he did get beat by were all world champions themselves.

So, the bottom line is Lewis is still one of the greatest drivers of last 25 years and is top 2 of the current grid, and he did make a difference in 2017 and 2018. But to say that Mercs wouldn’t be walking away with both championships this year without Lewis is just plain stupidity.
And who is saying that? Everyone can see the Merc is the best, and as it stands, Lewis is their best driver.

It just seems that the Ham haters just hate to see Ham fans happy. And after this race I'm very happy.

1, for Perez, he deserves it.
2, Geoege has arrived.
3, the Max to Merc rumours can now stop. they don't need him.
GoLandoGo
Lewis v2.0
King George has arrived.

Thinking about why Leclerc doesn’t really get grief for accidents, I think it’s actually because he’s a really nice likeable guy and actually holds his hands up when he’s done wrong- at least sometimes- whereas with some other drivers it’s always everyone else’s fault except theirs.

He seems to be able to own his mistakes.

Sky just got him going to RP to apologise to and congratulate Perez. Nice touch.

Yeah I said this during the race. I think Russell might have ended Max’s Mercedes dream today. Hard to see where he goes with Russell there and LeClerc at Ferrari.

To the people telling Mercedes can't win without Lewis - what are you trying to do? Those claims sound stupid and you're belittling Russell's exceptional performance today. What a shame.
There are no one in this forums saying that!
It was actually Lewis haters who were lining up to say the opposite!

You can see a lot of haters saying that even when George was hoping FP1 and FP2 sessions
I think you should only speak for yourself, because you never know what other people might be talking about. Anyway, just once instance of what LM10 is talking about, I think.

Maybe stroll sr bought his son a team to race in. But, we mustn’t forget that if not for him there would be only 18 seats on the grid today and Perez would be out of a seat anyway.

Also, Lance has shown far greater moments of brilliance than half the grid (and that includes Norris, dare I say). He just needs to find some consistency and let’s not forget, he’s still just 22.
<> there were several bidders for force India and it is now coming out that Stroll did some underhanded things to get the team with a lower bid. Stroll jr should not be in F1, he should be in F2 fighting against Schumacher jr.

I think lh13 answered you for me. Also, PZ was saying Lewis has a habit of destroying stars or something to that effect

It’s a slow puncture.

He likely got it from having to leave the racing line constantly for overtaking.

This isn’t that unusual.
Yea, I might be overreacting. Need to check the times later when they're on. At least that's what the commentator told.

Btw, shout-out to you for your posts after the race.
Very kind of you to say that.

I can understand that you were excited for George. So was I. He is dealing with a similar heartbreak to what LEC had to deal with in Bahrain last year.

Future is bright for F1.
You're welcome.

I really was excited. It was the first race I've watched standing in front of the TV this season. I like young, hungry talents and Russell is one of them, Leclerc another one.

Future definitely is bright for F1.

Russel making friends in the team with his behaviour. Does not help today, but it is all brownie points for the future.

Merc double stack pit stop:

Hard to tell under the helmets, but did I see Toto, Ham's Dad, and Bot's wife doing the tire changing?

OR

It sure was nice for Ferrari to loan Merc their pit crew for the weekend!

I’ll tell you what if you had put #44 on that car and had him wear Lewis’ helmet and made him not talk I doubt anyone would have questioned it (apart from him half sticking out the car obviously). My point is that Hamilton has numerous times this year done exactly that. Get 2-3 seconds ahead and just keep it like that.

Right until Mercedes decided to screw up it could easily have been Hamilton in that car.

The official document is an interesting read. First time this has happened in F1, the rules will probably be adapted.
