Now that is what I want to see from Lando Norris. That is a championship Material Lap. We need more of those. Where did Sainz lose in the end? Can we now have Sainz pass Albon in the start and have Norris on 4th and Sainz on 5th? If we get those places tomorrow we are getting 3rd place no matter what RP does cause there is no way Stroll and Perez will be able to reach Albon from all that distance to a hard passing GP.

At least we are entering the race with the best conditions. Incredible lap fron Lando! He should also try and qualify with mediums. We had the speed today.

And this is why you shouldn't judge pace from practice 1. Next season can we not have the whining when we aren't going fast on P1?

Maybe they’re trying to split strategies?

Otherwise he might have been in front of Albon. Doesn't matter. He can pass him tomorrow at the start. Our target is P4 and P5. There is no way to race the Mercedes or Verstappen however I know we can beat Albon. If we finish P4 and P5 that translates to 22 points. All we need is to keep Albon behind between us and RP as 7th and 8th gives 10 points.

Shame for that mistake from Carlos. Could have had both cars ahead of Albon.

Phew. What is it with this year? We have performance where we don’t expect it and vice versa.

Great lap from Lando there. To be quarter of a second from pole on such a long track with so many slow corners is unreal. Should have put him on mediums in Q2 though. Any idea why they switched the strategies?

And what happened with sainz on the final run? Thought we had Albon there.

I am very afraid of what Perez can do. He has had a lot of pace on the races lately. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. The job today is done.

Congrat Lando :)

Maybe it is better to be on different strategy with your drivers. Lets hope the best for tomorrow! =D> =D>

I totally agree with you. Perez is an amazing racing driver. We can hope that their lucky will leave him

Well Perez is a fantastic driver and I would like for him to be back on Mclaren for a second chance however tomorrow I don't see how he can repeat his last performances as Abu Dabi is a race that you can hardly pass. In any case if we finish 4th and 5th it doesn't matter what RP will do as long as we keep Albon as a Shield between.

Makes me think that with a Mercedes engine that would have been a pole position today.

Off topic but Alonso is doing laps with his championship winning Renault. I missed that V10 Engine.
