Ferrari get extra money because they're "special". And they still fail to win. Imagine where they'd be without their special money. Probably fighting Haas...now that would be a total fall.

I thought any British national could be knighted no matter where they lived? This sounds like they will knight him but it has conditions so won't be seen as full knighthood?

On this subject, people will mainly argue because of the residence in Monaco being a tax dodger. How about Jackie Stewart, or should I say Sir Jackie Stewart, who has lived in Switzerland since the 60's. Pretty sure he was awarded knighthood while living abroad. Or have I got this wrong?

Living abroad isn't an issue so much as paying of taxes. Turns out Hamilton pays a shed load of tax in the UK - HMRC say he's in the top 5000 tax payers in the UK.

So he's entitled to receive his award.

There will be the usual knuckles draggers that read the red tops etc., that will claim he shouldn't have it because he lives in Monaco. But really they don't like him because he's a jumped-up black bloke that doesn't know his place.

Oh, and Stewart moved back to Blighty to get care for his wife who is suffering from dementia. They live in Buckinghamshire.

Interesting about the HMRC claim, That would mean Lewis Hamilton pays more Tax in the UK than 99.9% of the UK population.
