they did run the 16B...
I wonder what his lap time was compared to 2019 pace?
This is what everybody wants to hear ofcourse, but Max said it was impossible to judge. They were running demo-tires, without any setup work done and the engine in a very conservative setting.godlameroso wrote: ↑25 Feb 2021, 05:12Checo says there's an improvement in overall grip and top speed over the RB15, so it's at least no worse than last year's car. Given last year's car started more or less where the RB15 finished, at least over a qualifying lap. Would the mid season level RB16 be the B's starting point, more or less? If Mercedes has last year's mid spec more or less, RBR would start the season closer than ever.
Where did you read that or saw him saying that @Tizz?
If this is true then Sergio is pretty fast, but all of these numbers mean nothing as usual.Tizz wrote: ↑27 Feb 2021, 09:09This is what everybody wants to hear ofcourse, but Max said it was impossible to judge. I think if the cars lost df with brilliant tyre saving idea of Fia ( now more max speed and more brake force will be applied to the tyres when they are in easier condition at turns ) better max speed is something comes freely by rules. Ferrari also talking about that but better max speed may mean they could not achieve regain df shrinked from cars as a result of rules. But if checo's more grip statement is realistic then it is good. I think tyres are not that important at that condition.Tizz wrote: ↑27 Feb 2021, 09:09This is what everybody wants to hear ofcourse, but Max said it was impossible to judge.
