Is it just me or is Seb's sitting position unusually high? I seem to remember him sitting unusually high in 2015 testing too.

I noticed that too, the center of his head seems above headrest upper surface. Quite unusual. Maybe it has something to do with having the car fitting both drivers and being able to switch over an hour lunch break

It was like that during the Silverstone shakedown too.

Also, Lance clocks in at 182cm, Vettel at 175cm. If they couldnt change the footwells etc, I would assume it’s Vettel at 7cm shorter who would be lower than Lance

Could have a different leg length. A tall person often has long legs and a 'normal' size body. I am short because my neck is short

(If my neck was 2 inch longer I would be 6 feet)

Is it just me, or are Aston not running their floor at the maximum possible width all the way along?

I thought I spotted a large group of vortex generators just before the point where the floor is supposed to start tapering, followed by a cutout section (rather than maximising the width all the way along).

Then again, my eyes might be playing tricks on me.

A lot of teams have this - Alpha Tauri were the first to show it in their render - I think it sheds the edge vortex outboard rather than following the edge of the floor and hurting diffuser performance.

Those turning vanes weren't there on pre-season testing. There's a new floor from watching FP1 live feed. Alas I don't have a screenshot to share. But it definitely is stepped and therefore not maximising the whole permitted area.
