Excellent job by Hamilton, however the race will be difficult for him, he has 2 Red Bulls to deal with and Bottas is a long way back. The start will be crucial. Max is still the fastest, and everything to play for tomorrow.

I think as it stands, with Imola having more high speed corners, they will cruise to victory. I am confident that we'll see a long awaited 1-2 for RBR.
My prediction:
Qualy Top 10:
1. Ver
2. Perez (+0.5)
3. Hamilton (+0.7)
4. Bottas (+0.8 )
5. Gasly (+0.9)
6. Leclerc (+1.0)
7. Ricciardo (+1.1)
8. Norris (+1.1)
9. Sainz (+1.2)
10. Tsunoda (+1.2)

As for the race:
Easy 1-2 for RBR. Next Mercs then the rest.
Ouch, couldn't be more wrong with that one. Those gaps were miles out buddy.

WOW! What an ending to that session!

Norris so dang close to that Front Row... regardless of the track limit, stonking lap!

Perez to get ahead of Max; Doesn't matter how you cut it, that's bloody impressive. Here is hoping Perez is getting more on top of that Red Bull now.

Solid effort from Charles to squeeze every last tenth out of that Ferrari.
I though Perez was just over the line in one of the corners, but seems he is allowed to keep the time. Anyhow, very well done - too bad Max couldn't get it together, and unfortunate for Norris (but a very proper run by him, too).

Got to think Perez will be ahead in to the first corner tomorrow. The softs ought to give him a boost off the line. Having the two cars next to each other ought also to give Red Bull a decent chance of taking the win.

Let's hope the first lap is clean for everyone. Be a real shame if there's a coming together in the first corner that ruins the race.

If Perez gets the jump on Hamilton it will play into Verstappen's hands, because when the softs start going off, he will either hold up Hamilton or force him to pit. If the Red Bull team beats Mercedes in the pits they can jump him, from there Verstappen can use his pace.

If Perez pits first he will undercut Hamilton.

The new guys -ALO VET RIC SAI

Shows that it is not easy to adapt
Checo in P2. For Danny Ric and Sainz understandable but there are always excuses for Vettel.

Honestly, I think having bottas start where he's at probably helps Mercedes.

They'll make him extend his first stint, and that will mean he's well within the pit window of the Red bulls.

1.Congratz to Checo! A well deserved 2nd place for the grid.
2.Had Max didn`t lose those 1,5 tenths at turn 3 it would have been on pole sure thing.
3.Checo will start on soft tyres but on the dirty side of the track and last year Lewis had that spot and lost the position.
Anyway, it`ll be an interesting start tomorrow. Can`t wait!

That's assuming he loses no places at the start, and can run in clean air, the first is only probable, the second is impossible.

If he ends up stuck in traffic he's going to be losing roughly half a second a lap to the leaders.

What ever chance Perez has of passing Max, Leclerc has the same chance on Max.

Alonso and Ricciardo are ultra slow :(

I think the Alpine with a decent driver would be not so bad, someone 2-3tenth faster than OCO like RIC Was

Suddenly Alonso is not a decent driver!? :wtf:

Trust me, Mercedes will race Verstappen not Checo.
