Based on FP3? Your presuming they were trying to put in a faster lap than yesterday. I try not to be too high or too low.
Not really...I was watching Alonso onboard, and he Alonso nearly spun at T15 trying to go on his final hotlap - probably due to cold tyres from all the farcical queuing at T13. This just snowballed into a bad lap - but P10 is good and the points are won on Sunday.
i still dnt understand logic to be so late going for final run. alpine is not fighting for pole why cant they go 30 seconds earlier and be head of queue. alonso still not 100% so why not reduce risk upfront.politburo wrote: ↑08 May 2021, 16:18Not really...I was watching Alonso onboard, and he Alonso nearly spun at T15 trying to go on his final hotlap - probably due to cold tyres from all the farcical queuing at T13. Still needs to improve. Part of the problem was his first Q1 wasn't fast enough, he had to use a 2nd set of tires. This ended up in him being able to have 1 set of softs for Q3,politburo wrote: ↑08 May 2021, 16:18Not really...I was watching Alonso onboard, and he Alonso nearly spun at T15 trying to go on his final hotlap - probably due to cold tyres from all the farcical queuing at T13. Leclerc and Norris also went for the first Q3 hotlap on used soft. Alpine their problem is they always go last, they did this in Portimao Q2 as well, Alonso waited 2 or 3 minutes extra in the pits for him to be released only to not a good lap.diffuser wrote: ↑08 May 2021, 16:24Still needs to improve. Did Alo get effected the Perez spin ?
Yes i know he need to improve his qualy cause his losing ground to Ocon 6 thents here in barcelona its huge
If you account for the mistake it is probably 3 or 4 tenths. T15 is where you build speed for your hotlap and clearly he wasn't able to do that but it is certainly his fault. But Alonso has very good race pace, as we saw last week in Portimao.
