If you account for the mistake it is probably 3 or 4 tenths. T15 is where you build speed for your hotlap and clearly he wasn't able to do that but it is certainly his fault. But Alonso has very good race pace, as we saw last week in Portimao.

I thought he had all the sectors just never put it together in one lap in Q3.

Barcelona is not portimao he start 10 and the aston will start in medium and he his in the the dirty side its gonna be tought , he must gain places in the start otherwise its gonna be tough race

Those are only the best sector times. On the final Q3 hotlap it was Alonso 22.003, 29.241, 26.903. But like I said that final lap started badly and went on badly. If you account for that first sector the difference was probably about 4 tenths in quali, which is still a lot. Ocon was really good. Looking forward to the race.

He talk about traffic in his last lap but was during the outlap he just was slow and he said he gonna be aggressive in the start cause hs in the dirty side ans stroll will start with new tires in the clean side

Got traffic and then cold tyres, in Q2 was ahead of Ocon and the whole weekend has shown great pace for a car wasn't even in the points last two races. they are just at the level with Mclaren more or less without the engine improved or developed this year. But haters will always be there.

Good effort by the team, the car seems to be were it belongs now!
They need to keep that level of pace through the season.

It will also help FA recover and get back to his speed in qualy.

Great lap by Ocon. It came out of nowhere for me since I was expecting that both drivers would cover position 8-10. Alonso was kinda unlucky, but he still needs to improve his Saturday performance. With a decent start it is possible to score big points, however, I am kinda afraid about the tyre wear, might be a problem for Alpine as well as Ferrari
