Slowing down in the pit entry is forbidden but, with a double stack you only need around two seconds extra, there is no rule or any kind of policing to penalise if you do that on track. It’s well within the normal rules how far you have to follow the car in front under a safety car. You could even say it’s kinda smart.

I think its closer to 5 seconds. ~3 seconds for the stop plus a 1 second entry to the pit box and 1 second exit. Otherwise the second car does lose time.

Ahh Well. Guess it's 100% chance of safety car this year. Are we allowed to say that?

One one side it's dumb to change the Monaco circuit, on the other hand, I always wondered why they can't lengthen the tunnel strait 200 meters and add a singe chicane instead of the double one. All the history there, but the races are booooooring.
in my opinion, it's grossly wrong to say this is a "race". this is an automobile procession at high speeds, ever since the cars outgrew the circuit decades back.

If it's allowed, it's smart indeed.
But just suppose it weren't hypothetical.

Sure. With the rookies we have this year, a safety car is probable. I just hope it doesn't effect the outcome too much.

Will Mazepin mazespin? Or is there not enough room for a successful 360?

Probably not with 5m long cars. He's more likely to end up broadside on track and cause a red flag.

The problem is in fact that he has not been able to do the full 360 degrees in his spins up till now, otherwise there wouldn't be any problem.

I am unaware of any time penalties being administered by FIA for holding up the pack. The kiss was a result of that.
The kiss was the result of a potentially unsafe release. Not that it matters now as it was two years ago.

Not that I wish Lewis bad luck, but it would be better for the season should Lewis for one time have a DNF and Max win the race.

Huge pressure on Perez this weekend, this is a race where Red Bull need him in play to counter the 2 car strategy Merc use each year here.

If RB is clearly better this weekend, Perez must be 2nd at least.

Personally I find championships being decided by reliability much less satisfying than via on-track battle. Besides, this is only Race 5 of 23; even if Max wins and Lewis gets 0 points, there is plenty of time to catch up.

Not potentially at all I'd say. Absolutely an unsafe release and rightly penalised. Bottas not being silly was the only reason they didn't have an accident at the pit exit which would have ended both their races. I would say in RBR's defence that they probably thought it was worth the risk of getting penalised given that track position is king and they'd have been behind the Ferrari which was right behind Bottas as well, but it was a very cynical and dangerous game to play, especially in such a cramped pit lane.
