That's not the rule in F1. It seems absurd to change the rules in a reactionary manner.Mogster wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 17:06I really really hope not but the prize is huge so the motive is obvious. Surely he’d have done it in a place where there was far less risk of big damage to the car.
That’s why I’m suggesting anyone who does this should have their times wiped.
That seems extremely harsh a punishment. Cant say I agree with that at all unless you can unequivocally prove it was an intentional crash. This absolutely doesn’t seem that way to me.Mogster wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 17:06I really really hope not but the prize is huge so the motive is obvious. Verstappen:You would never do such a crash on purpose. Also you can easily damage your gearbox/chassis with such a crash, which will drop you from your P1 position easily.
Leclerc:I think it makes a difference when a guy makes a mistake and hits the wall or doing it intentionally. If Charles parked there with a broken front wing, it‘s a different story. He just clipped the wall and ended where I ended up twice. It‘s just unfortunate.
If I was doing it on purpose, I would have done it a less bit hard! For now I'm worried about the rear of the car, I hope it's OK, but it doesn't look OK.
Usually? About half a second or about as long as it takes carbon fibre to shatter. Why?
I’m not suggesting deleting Chaz’s time for this offence but maybe a change in the sporting regs is worth looking at for the future.JordanMugen wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 17:08That's not the rule in F1. Leclec himself said he was waiting for the gearbox inspection by the mechanics.
