Only a 10 second loss if a pit stop under safety car, I predict Lando will win this today

How long does a 'box change take?

I'm gutted for the sake of watching a fun race. But a part of me thinks this is karma for in my opinion crashing on purpose in qaulifying.
You are beating a dead horse with that crashing on purpose nonsense.

Bad decisions result in a bad outcome.

Binotto has to go.

Still 5 different teams in the top 5. Really this race could be won or lost in the pit-stops. Would be truly poetic if Carlos ends up winning this by some crazy sequence of events. Unlucky Leclerc.
I'm not counting Hamilton out, but personally, hoping Bottas and Max collide and either Sainz or Norris go on to win!! 😝
Bad for the WDC though

I really wish they would not play replays of the old N/A cars. It just reminds us all how pathetic the new cars sound.

Yeah, because changing your team principal every other year has proved to be quite the successful formula for the Italian team

Toto wolff will be gutted :) with Lecrec not even starting race. this is huge mistake from ferrari , they should have gone for pre cautionary change. if verstappen comes out leading the championship then pressure will be huge and with bottas contact most probably not being extended hamilton will have trouble in his backyard as bottas will ruin his party in few races for sure . hopefully ves wins and brings fun back in championship

BOT will take out VER, then all will fail , and HAM wins in front of GAS and VET.

Teams design the best car they can, balanced, with as much grip and the least drag for a given downforce, in a scientific manner and without a driver in mind. The race team will setup the given car together with the driver to maximise that package for the circuit.
That's not completely true, the engineers have to take some things into account, just like aircraft designers used to have to do.

before fly by wire and computers started making thousands of tiny changes a second, aircraft designers had to design a plane that was stable enough to be flown by a pilot alone without help from a computer.

If engineers would truly design the fastest car possible it'd be very aerodynamically unstable, and the power delivery would be so harsh that the drivers would constantly be spinning up the tires.
Fair point, I ment a specific driver in mind (apart when they signed someone with extraordinary bodyparts compared to a average racer)

Red Bull effectively asking if they can restage the grid with Max in the pole position. Cheeky but I suppose they have to ask as it would be helpful for their driver.

Charles bad luck continues. Max starting from second. With no one in front of him. Every bad luck brings good luck they say.

Even Hamilton's infamous luck isn't that strong!

I can see him being asked to help Bottas win, however, which will be useful for him if it reduces Max's points haul.

Tips if you’re watching on F1TV, choose FX as sound to avoid having to hear Crofty and co. It’s a totally different experience.
