Verstappen with an engine problem of some sorts? losing 0.4s in tunnel every lap and 14 kmh down on bottas.

edit.
perez has 17 kmh more speed in tunnel compared to verstappen, also without slipstream.
Nah. He looks like he’s going just fine. Probably just doing what he needs to.
He 100% has a problem. Every other honda powered car has 15-20 kmh advantage on him in tunnel and thats not normal. It's also not normal bottas is able to gain 0.4s every lap trough there.
Could be short shifting

I think he’s fine, at least for now. The gap is ok and he’s got fastest lap.

So will it be the overcut or undercut that works around here...the only excitement we're likely to see today

Bottas needs to clear Perez to stop. Then they can use Hamilton to go long. That is why Perez is pumping in the laps

If max pits first hamilton can block him to prevent him from scoring full points.

Very clean race so far even if it seems not many cars are able to get near to each other as of yet.

Could be long boring race unless we get some safety car action or mistake on strategy

Lewis stuck behind Gasly is the problem with that plan

~15 kmh down every lap so far.

Perez currently in slipstream has a top speed around 285 kmh. When he was 3s behind vettel he was at around 280-282 kmh.

He's pulling away at the front. He isn't carrying a problem, or at least not one that's causing him laptime.

If Gasly wasnt there, this could be very interesting, but I feel its going to be an anti climax

Max will pull the pin, and Gasly wont be able to go any faster so will take Lewis out of the equation

Bottas isn't fast enough to get out infront of Perez. Red Bull will leave Perez out to block Bottas if he pits first

He's losing 0.3-0.4s every lap trough tunnel, how's that not losing time? He's compensating elsewhere.
This is gasly running in clear air:
283 kmh

and this is perez at 2s distance to car ahead
283 kmh
