I am genuinely confused as to Mercs strategy calls, it was terrible for Lewis AND Bottas. The ONLY play they could make was to let Lewis run long to block Max from pitting as much as possible, and they screwed it thinking the undercut on the hard would work.

That's what I was thinking they were going to do. But when they brought Hamilton in early I was confused. They were probably hoping to get past gasly. Dumb move

Way too many races to go and especially with that flexi wing getting removed. I think the only positive for Lewis is that Leclerc and Bottas are out or he'd be 9th.

Monaco reminding us how dull it is as "race" track. Max doing a great job out front but it's hardly an exciting race anywhere else on track - and the director can't even show the bit of racing that there has been. Dull and pointless.

Every now and then we have a crash that makes it exciting, but expecting a crash to have a good race is so bad. I really wouldn't miss it being on the calendar.

Watching them in qualifying is fabulous - skimming the barriers, flat out and eyes on stalks. Great, superhero stuff. But the racing? M'eh.

He closed the gap by 5.5 secs - it wasn’t just back markers but possibly a combination between that and taking it easy until Sainz got within about 3.5.
