Hamilton's bad luck with having to wait for Gasly has given the race to Max. Perez's "unfortunate" slow stop was perfect for Max. And people moan about Hamilron being lucky.

Verstappen would jump him even without slow stop. He came out more than 4 seconds ahead and hamilton lost only around 2s in pitlate. Hard tyres dont have good warmup. Perez had slow stop himself so he lost nothing compared to him.

Do Mercedes even know what an overcut is? Monaco and Baku are both notorious for this they made the same mistake twice in a row

You have to bear in mind relative tyre age. He was on three lap older soft tyres. The overcut would probably have been impossible because RBR would have just waited and waited with Verstappen

Completely agree. But Red Bull easily the fastest car here. Something needs to swing Mercs way otherwise it's going to be a pretty straightforward race

I think Merc knows they suck here (and Monaco) but they’ll be happy with a podium knowing they go into the rest of the season on tracks that suit their car better.

We’re only 1/3 through the season, so plenty of time to figure it out.

I don’t think so. Yes they are relieved with their response after Friday and Saturday morning fp3. However I don’t think they came into this weekend thinking they’d struggle. They looked totally baffled
