Sure 0.2s of a lap faster than a car behind will get you straight into structural tyre failure. Of course it doesn’t. They were all vulnerable to a tyre letting go. Maybe debris on track? Who knows the cause. But the lap time won’t have been it

I'm pretty sure he wanted to stay in slipstream from car ahead and he believed it would be enough to keep him ahead. It wasn't, but by then it was too late to cover inside line.
