I think the "Peak" Hamilton epoch is over. Another mistake, and quite a desperate one. He could have simply brought the car home in second for 18 relatively safe points. Just goes to show what pressure can do to anyone.

So Hamilton's lock up...was it a driver error or a consequence of his brakes overheating?? Or 50-50??

Lewis has so much experience now...i wouldn't expect such a silly mistake from him! Maybe he got carried away...

Anyway, Hamilton and Verstapen dropping out gave us an epic podium!! That's great for Formula 1!!

Completely agree. There was also a balance with neither Verstappen or Hamilton scoring any points, so the championship is still very much alive and unaffected by the craziness.

That was the radio transmission:
"Did i have the magic on?"
"Yea, but, yea just knock that off"
"I could have sworn i turned it off"
"Yea you did, but knocked it on with the upshift"

So he did not make a huge mistake by letting the mode on but must've touched the lever/button or whatever they use with some upshift.

Ah well that just sounds like horrible luck. Guess it balances out with Verstappen’s horrible luck too.

If I’m Mercedes I’m looking at the button positions straight away. If you can catch something that can screw your brake settings up like that so easily it needs moving.

I think Leclercs defense on Lando was dangerous, it is not the first time he has been overly aggressive on track

Who wants this F1. ? These races are far too dependant on tyres. The tyres are made to self destruct to add excitement and unpredictability. We saw today that a driver can get seriously hurt. F1 needs another tyre manufacturer to make a tyre war. Shame on Pirelli for providing unworthy tyres.
