yeah old willy fox Alonso somehow did it again. experience does count in these situations. Alpine was very poor today in race pace marginally faster than bullock cart only.

I told you Alonso can still cook! The car was a DOG on the straights, great in the corners, they ran way more rear wing than they probably needed.

Surprised by the lack of pace when the team were strong in places like Canada in the past. Maybe paying the price for not bringing the new engine this year. They are def slower than Ferrari, mclaren probably on a par with alpha Tauri.
I hope they deliver a great car next year.. I think Ocon and Alonso can race it..

Too much drag, new package added more downforce than anticipated at the rear.

Yeah race pace wasn’t great but Alonso pulled it out the bag with that restart. What a driver! I hope in France we can solve the race pace and get more out of one lap.

Correct me if I’m wrong but they didn’t use a new engine like everyone else?

They were well into the top 20% in top speed in quali their race stop speed was the same yet everyone else's top speed went up. They went from 3ird best top speed in quali to 14th in the race.
