What is this garbage of David Croft commentating the ridiculous AWS stupid prediction graphics?

"Karun, why do you think Hamilton only gets 98% car performance in the corner, and Verstappen gets 96%? the computers algorithm widget tell me and this is just like my boiler when its telling me the room temperature and what do you think about this and how bad will this impact the championship?

Ted Kravitz just confirmed on the broadcast that this is indeed what happened. Confirmed by Merc, who say it's standard practice and not because anyone complained.
Well, their is either something wrong with that chassis or Merc are doing something really weird on the long runs, as Lewis is 7 to 9 tenths slower than Bottas!
Probably just setup related, as the chassis Hamilton is using was used by Bottas at Barcelona and Monaco, and it seemed to be fine at both venues.

The chassis Hamilton used in Baku (#3) isn’t even being used in France.

LOL I know, I didn't want to appear biased or that I care particularly either way, so I swapped the polarity (and changed the values?)! I.e I was annoyed at the principle!

I also confess that he didnt mention his boiler

Wolff notes that both chassis are old 2020 items anyway. So I guess they all have plenty of racing on them!

Perhaps we can all chip in and by Sky a prodigious amount of duck tape, and mail it to the attention of Crofty.

They apparently do that chassis swapping in order to give them a similar runtime throughout the season

Interesting how Red Bull are miles behind Mercedes now they cant cheat with their flexi rear wing or tyre pressure tactic combined with all the work Mercedes have done over the break...looks like a game changer so far
Super interesting. Game changed. Based on an FP session.

Curious to see if Alpine's pace is real. I think they'll do well tomorrow but their Sunday pace remains to be seen.

McLaren's long runs on softs didn't look good. They were about a second off Ferrari. They usually sandbag the quali runs but not race pace. Something to watch out for...

The engineers have been saying most of the AWS predictions are actually more accurate than expected...

I think circuits like Ricard and Montmelo are Mercedes wet dreams - and in fairness they always have been, even in the years where Ferrari was stronger, these were not their tracks. Silverstone is a little different, a little more abrasive, a little more old school, but I’d be shocked if this isn’t a Mercedes 1-2.

This is why Max was so upset in Baku of course, because he knew Mercedes ought to win - and win comfortably - at tracks like this.

Given how Hamilton has come out and defended Pirelli, saying the failures are due to what certain teams were doing with the tyres, it will be interesting to see how the new tyre testing changes things.

It looks like Redbull are going to lose the flex wing and possibly a tyre trick this weekend.
Wow, Hamilton has become quite the little tattletale as of late, huh? It seems the competition isn't as welcomed as he says it is.
It’s called stirring the pot. You drop a one liner and the media explodes, and then pesters Max and Horner all weekend about it.

He’s probably having a laugh about it behind closed doors.
It only works because they think that LH is responsible for the entire technical thinking behind the Merc….
